A Danish company with technical complex products, with a turnover of approx. DKK 70 million wanted to scale their business through export sales. They had tiny experience with export sale. This was gained via mouth-of-mouth, without a real plan behind.
They wanted to scale their export business, but didn´t have the resources or knowledge of how to manage this international journey.
Before investing, they wanted to draw up and implement a solid business case for sales, marketing and logistics.
In addition to preparing a solid business plan for their export sales, we did also helped the company to gradually establish a digital platform.
Investments were made in steps in line with results shown. The digital system consists today of an SEO-optimized website, a webshop, a product configurator, a competitor search engine, a price / discount matrix module and a customer service module with chat function.
This new digital system is today connected to the company's ERP system and production / logistics. In parrellel to growth, both customers and employees have confirmed a positive and smooth user experience. It has led to a far better workflow and therefore less internal work pressure.
The new system is open "24/7" and have proven a far better customer reach, resulting in more new customers, month after month.
Turnover: has increased by approx. 15-20% year after year, without adding additional expenses/resources. By working digital, the company has managed to get in touch with far more new customer and gain a stronger company branding.
Internal: human errors and misunderstandings are significantly reduced, where in combination with a efficient product configurator, it has helped the technical team to work more focused. This new way of working has even resulted in a much better company work environment.
Economy: In parallel with increased turnover, daily tasks are completed quicker and in a more efficient and secured way. This new way of working, have saved the company approx. DKK 1 mill (1,5% of turnover) in expenses yearly.
